Designed to assist parents in shaping and molding the entire lives of Christian young people in the sixth through twelfth grades. Our aim is to help equip parents and encourage teenagers to fulfill their God-given potential and to reach the unsaved youth in our city whose hearts are longing for what only Christ can give.

• Teen Sunday morning bible study is a special training time for our youth in which life-changing principles are taught from the Bible. Our caring teachers challenge the students to apply God’s Word to their daily lives. 
   
• Our Wednesday night teen service is one of the most important services for teens that takes place on a weekly basis.  In this service the teens are led in worship by other teens.  Time is spent in the Word of God with careful application directly to the lives of young people.  This is also a great time to meet and fellowship with other teens.
    
• Teenanalysis is a scoring system that challenges teens to have daily devotions, read Christian books, attend teen outreach, and participate in some form of practical Christian service including nursing home visits, children’s church, bus ministry, etc. The teens fill out a point sheet each week based on these and other areas of Christian life and service. Those who achieve the highest scores are eligible for a special annual Teenanalysis trip in the summer. 
   
• Teen Outreach is an evangelistic ministry designed to train our youth to win others to Christ. We meet each Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 for a short time of prayer before going out into our community inviting people to church and sharing with them the love of Christ. 
   
• Teens are also encouraged to become a part of our Gateway Minsitries Choir.  This gives a great opportunity for each teen to be a part of this ministry group as well as receive musical instruction from our music leader. 
   
• Teen Activities are exciting events scheduled throughout the year in order to provide our young people with Christian fellowship. They usually take place on Fridays and Saturdays and include all night lock-ins, paintball, laser tag, bowling, miniature golf, gym nights, ice skating, scavenger hunts, banquets, area-wide youth rallies, and many other activities. 
    
• Teen Summer Trips include one week of camp, a mission trip, and a Teenanalysis trip to a major U.S. city. These trips not only provide our teens with times of fun and enjoyment but also with practical training and discipleship for future service.

Activity Descriptions

Hampton Roads Youth Explosion- this is an area wide youth activity that will include many of our sister churches. We will have a service, eat, and go ice skating. The cost is $10, 7-11

Membership- The two week class that is required for a teen to become a member of gateway church.

Parent/teen activities- a new emphasis on building the parent/teen relationship and will be focused on solidifying our homes.

Pizza making marathon- Our teens will gather, worship, and then will be sent out with the task of making the worlds greatest pizza. You don’t wanna miss it!
