Music is a very important part of Gateway Ministries. It plays a vital role in Gateway Church, Gateway Christian School, and Gateway Christian College. Because of this fact, the overall purpose of the music ministry has many facets. In our Church, music’s main purpose is worship unto God. In worshiping the Lord, the lost are evangelized and Christians are edified. At school, music’s main purpose is education with a Christian philosophy. With the right perspective of music, students can balance the musical knowledge acquired with the Biblical principle learned in other areas and thus please the Lord. In our College, music’s main purpose is education and preparation for ministry. Students desiring to major in music have the opportunity to learn and an outlet to prepare for future ministry. Students, who wish to major in areas other than music, are given musical opportunities to prepare themfor future. Although the main purpose of music may differ throughout the ministries, the overall purpose of Gateway Ministries’ Music is worship unto God for His honor and glory.

In light of the purpose of the music ministry it is important to remember the people of the music ministry who work so faithfully to minister in the area of music. Gateway Ministries has four paid staff members who work to ensure that the music in the Church, School, and College is meeting its goals. However, one cannot forget the many people who volunteer and contribute time and energy into the overall ministry. Singers and instrumentalists of all kind give of themselves every day to bring honor and glory to God.
