The widowers of our church are invited to a lunch next Sunday, May 6 in the Social Hall after the morning service.

All ladies are invited to the banquet on Saturday, May 12 to enjoy a word from our speaker, Mrs. Cindy Jones from Great Bridge FWB. Pictures begin at 12:15 p.m. followed by A Victorian Luncheon, which will be served at 1:00 in the cafeteria. The meal, catered by K&W Cafeteria, costs $7 for ladies and $4 for girls (ages 10 & under). Tickets are available at the Welcome station, church & school office, or contact Mrs. Jodi Lewis.

After the evening service on May 6, the teens will be auctioning off their individual services (i.e. cutting grass, yard work, cleaning, washing cars) for 6-8 hours of work to help raise money for their summer mission trip to Indiana. Donations will be accepted to have a teenager work at the church if the services are not needed. 

During the week of June 18-22, each camper will receive 2 hours a day of instructional teaching on the game of basketball. Grades 3rd-8th must register by Tuesday, May 1 to participate.  The cost of $20 for GCS Day Campers or $40 for those not enrolled in Day Camp also includes a T-shirt, basketball, and gym bag. Register in the school office. 

Tickets are going fast- only 9 more spots for couples. You must sign up at the information center by this Tuesday to go. Remember, the bus will leave Thursday, May 24 at 6 a.m. & return May 25 at 7 p.m. The cost of $185 per couple includes bus, show tickets, & motel. If you are signed up, please turn in your deposit to Preacher Burden. 

 Join us next Sunday evening, April 22 for a special service. The college will give a presentation, the promotional trio will sing, and Corey Minter will deliver the message. 

The annual conference will be held June 11-13 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Make plans to attend and support some of our very own, including Marc Neppl and our GCC trio. Brochures are available at the information center.
